Cant reply to text from old service provider to accept transfer - Public Mobile

I recently switched from Rogers to Public Mobile (PM). Rogers sent me a text instructing me to reply YES if I accept the transfer. However, when I replied YES, it showed as not delivered. I still have the Rogers SIM card in my phone. Could that be the issue? Thank you.

It could be a device issue, but it might also be something you need to work out with Rogers.

Try inserting the Rogers SIM card into another phone and reply again. Make sure it has not been 90 minutes since you replied to the message. If 90 minutes have passed, you’ll need to call the Public Mobile porting team and ask them to re-trigger the porting request and text. However, if you’re still unable to reply to the text from Rogers, sort it out with Rogers support before calling the Public Mobile porting team.
